Marketing with the UW-Stout Service Center
After offering several suggestions for better informing students of the services that the UW-Stout Service Center provides, my employer created a position for me as the Marketing Coordinator.
My objectives for the year were to build a new Facebook page; offer promotions and specials for the community, students, and faculty; and use a bulletin board to inform the public of the services they may have been unware of.

![]() Labels for PrintersUpon receiving a new printer in the workplace, I was asked to quickly mock up labels for each drawer (based on paper type). This task showed me how well I could navigate and design via InDesign to produce a product that would be easily communicated in the workplace. | ![]() Special PromotionsTo cater to the students at the university, I reached out to many faculty members and program directors to see if there were any high-volume projects that the students would utilize the Service Center for this semester. A professor for the Quantity Food Production (QFP) course reached out to me with interest. I communicated with my boss to create a special that would suit the needs of those students. | ![]() Service PromotionAs the Service Center grows, it continues to constantly offer new products and services. In order to communicate these new products and services (as well as promotions/specials), a bulletin board was ordered for me to introduce new marketing efforts. I aimed to provide new information, promotions and/or specials on a weekly basis, including our new game rental service. |

![]() Business Card Template PromotionThis design went hand in hand with the others to promote business card printing on our bulletin board. | ![]() Business Card PromotionIn order to promote our business card cutter and templates for use, I communicated with my boss to set up a promotion for Service Center customers. I created pieces that complimented each other to advertise our new service on our marketing bulletin board. | ![]() Product Instructions + SamplesThe Service Center offers several service including spiral and perfect binding. However, it lacked directions and examples for customers who were interested in the service. To solve this, I created a sample for each type of binding with clear instructions that doubled as samples for the customers to view. |
